The follow upcoming events are local to the Fish Creek Pond area, and within a reasonable driving distance (1 hour or less). View an area map HERE
Tupper Lake is 11 miles south of Fish Creek on Route 30 (approx 15 minutes). Paul Smiths is 16 miles morth of Fish Creek on Route 30 (approx 25 minutes). Saranac Lake is 20 miles east of Fish Creek on Route 3 (25 minutes). Lake Placid is 30 miles east of Fish Creek on Route 86 (40 minutes). Long Lake is 33 miles south on Route 30 (approx 45 minutes). Blue Mountain Lake is 43 miles south on Route 28N (approx 1 hour).

Jul 4, 2008 | Upper Saranac Wooden Boat Parade | | Held on Upper Saranac Lake at 10:00am. The Parade route will likely be from Wawbeek Bay, down to the south end of the lake and then up to Back Bay at the north end of the lake. Expect to see about 40 antique wooden boats. Jul 12-13, 2008 | Woodsmen's Day | | In the heart of the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York, Tupper Lake's exciting, annual event attracts thousands of spectators and hundreds of competitors for a weekend of parades, logging demonstrations, thrilling competition, and fun. Horse pulling, chainsaw carving, axe throwing, skidder and loader driving, and team greased pole-climbing make up some of the great events. Jul 20, 2008 | Quit Wishin - Go Fishin | | Annual Spring Fishing Derby in Tupper Lake, NY. The derby will feature bass, walleye and northern pike, with payouts per hour, per category. This will be a catch and release derby and only healthy and live fish can be entered. All entrants must report to the Tupper Lake Rod and Game Lodge on June __ for their Registration Tag. The Lodge will be open at 5:00 AM. NY State Fishing Regulations Apply. Designated Fishing Waters are: Simond Pond, the Raquette River upstream to Follensby Bridge and down stream to the Setting Pole Dam; All of Raquette Pond and Big Tupper Lake to Bog River Falls. Fishing times are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All prizes and drawings are at 4:00 p.m. at the Rod & Game Lodge. Entry Fee is $25.00 and all persons in a boat must be registered.
