I have been visiting this site since I found out about fish creek pond a little while ago (through Dave). We are looking forward to our first visit at the end of June (thru July 1st).

Why

     is it when

     I go into general discussion, Fish Creek Pond, I don't always find

     the subjects with the most recent posts on top ? Is it something I am doing ? It seems like many of the other subjects are sorted that way. I would hate to miss something new !

There are 3 'sticky' topics at the top followed by the rest which should show anything recent in green. The 'sticky' topic icons do have a bug however... so if someone posts a reply in one of those 3 topics, they aren't showing in green as recent/unread posts. I noticed this last week... on the to do list

     a wonderful site you have here! Oh and thank you Dave for helping sort out my account activation issues - no idea where

     those emails went b/c they were not even in my junk mail.

Just thought I'd say hello to one and all! After years of family and friends talking about FCP, my husband and I are finally getting the chance to camp there ourselves. We were only thinking of going

     up next summer, but out of the blue noticed a lot had opened up the other day, so we're booked

     for July 29th to the 3rd of August on Site 264

    . It all fell into place perfectly b/c we have family camped there the last week of July and first of August. It's a good 13hr drive, but sounds like it'll be totally worth it!

Now we just need some great weather!

You mentioned to me a place that you have stored your boat just north of FCP. I believe it was down a road near the fish hatchery - - - I remember driving up there to look at the place, but didn't stop to make any inquiries.

I have a little problem this year that may require my making TWO trips back and forth to FCP (4 hours each way) - - - in order to bring both our trailer and our boat. What

     a pain !

Was wondering

     if you could give me the name/number of the place you've stored your boat - or if you have any ideas. We're coming up for two weeks beginning Aug 1 - from the Syracuse, NY area.

Jan and I have been camping in tents, in the Cats

    kills and the Adirondacks for the past few years but have just bought a camping trailer.
A trip to Rollins Pond (Site 251

    ) in July for a week will be our "dry camping" inaugeration for the trailer.
We will be back for a visit to FCP (Site 256

    ) for a week in August.
Your efforts helped enormously in picking out a site.
I hope to discuss our plans and get hints from the forum members as the time gets closer, to make sure we maximize our enjoyment of these two campgrounds.
