Seriously?? NO suggestions on what

to buy??

We bought a generator! :D :generator: A Honda 2000. It was only $350 more than the 1000 so we got the 2000. Yay! We didn't bring it home yet, not wanting to schlepp it all through the venue, so we will pick it up from the store next week.

Also bought a new cell phone

:P not at the show though but a purchase is a purchase! :D

Got a lead on a campground called Blue Haven for a possible seasonal site ...20 mins or so east of Malone. Looks nice. We will go visit sometime this spring.

Sadly, no purchase of a big rig. :( Saw LOTS that we liked though. I have noticed a distinct downward trend on prices over the years, on travel trailers anyway. Not sure about the 5-ers, but on TTs, the prices were pretty good.

I think that will be the last RV show we go to in Montreal. The venue is just awful. We'll hit Ottawa if we go next year.

Congrats on your new quiet Honda! You forgot to get a boat!

I heard the Ottawa show wasn't too good this year and cost another camper $17 just to get in (must be including the parking at Lansdown).

We went last year and perused all sort of mega campers... lots of small ones too! I have noticed more smaller trailers along the lines of the T@B, and even a few teardrops... although we never see them around here. Did seem that some huge units where

pretty cheap. Sometimes so cheap, I'd wonder

how well they are constructed...

I got a call

from the local Airstream dealer the other week who

figured that because they have a new unit in stock, we might be interested. Are we expected to 'upgrade' every few years? lol. Is ours supposed to be 'worn out' or falling apart? Are we supposed to keep up with the Jones and own a 2012 model this summer?

Then again we know lots of campers that have done the updates... popup, small travel trailer... bigger travel trailer, 5th wheel etc.

I just want to 'upgrade' my tote, wifi

You know the saying, everyone ends up in a 30-footer some day. lol.

I DID see an inflatable kayak

that caught my eye ...

The R-pods are ADORABLE.

Outdoor kitchens are everywhere.

Saw folding bikes

that folded really small! Should have grabbed a pamphlet. Can't imagine how much they cost!

There was only one Airstream in the entire place. Black and silver interior. Very futuristic. Is that the one your dealer wants you to look at? Really did not exude "nature" to us. lol.

Oh! And a couple of rigs had balconies ... which ... ???

We had a few inflatable kayaks

.. for a few days lol.

Kate got soaked (plug wasn't in all the way). Bottom line is they track horribly. Waste

of money IMHO.

Yes Airstream has a few different lines, one targetted at the young 'hip' crowd. Not not much for some of those interiors.

No the dealer here had one of the Eddie Bauers Specials I think...

That rear hatch is pretty cool! You could opt for real kayaks instead of blowups

Yeah, ixnay on the inflatable kayaks. I always wondered

how those tracked.

I love the hatch on the Airstream. That's different and so handy. That floorplan wouldn't work for us with our 5000 children, but sure is a good design for a couple.
