Ranger Jill on Steroids (Coming Soon!)

Thanks to the nearly 2500 questions

     that you, our fellow Fish Creek enthusiast have asked Ranger Jill

    , I am proud to announce that we have used all this data to send Ranger Jill on an extensive virtual course with the higher powers to improve her knowledge of Fish Creek. Although she was able to attempt to answer your questions (somewhat), she definately needed to be more helpful.

I'll be shortly introducing the new version of Ranger Jill (on steriods) who

     will be more helpful at providing answers

     in a user friendly written format (more text, less talk) implementing technology improving on the google auto-suggestion features many of you might be familar with. This version will also be useful to those who haven't yet found all the features on this site, as it has become apparent. Its also going

     to feature some great virtuality features that I am experimenting with.

PS. Ranger Jill is flattered by all the requests she received to go out with her on a date

Shes getting there Shane! She is definately going

     to be up to the task of reading your mind, and will be MUCH harder to stump. Just a TON of info/photos and links to plug into her knowledge base. I am about 1/3 done the first round of programming in her 'smarts'. Followed by a bunch of tweaking. Might be another month or so to finish.

Are you volunteering to be a 'beta tester' Shane? lol

Here are a few screen shots to give you an idea. Basically as you type a question

    , she immediately guesses what

     you are asking about and instantly shows links to probably answers

    . The links continually update as you type your question. Click any of the links and info and photos appear on screen as well as videos (future). Ranger Jill usually has a few words to say about things (as always) but you have to ability to turn her on/off (audio). I've had a lot of maps

     and such to mockup for the various ponds, canoe

     routes, area maps showing various points of interest etc etc so a bit behind, but getting there! All info and photos will be available

     from the Ranger Jill feature, including maps, campsite guide

     details etc.

Thant looks WONDERFUL. I do not know a great deal about beta testing but sure I would volunteer! On the current version of Ranger Jill, Is there a way to see an entire list of questions you can ask her? I am just curious. Thanks for the sneak peak

No the current version is a bit more archaic than the new version. The new version is all database driven so you'll be able to access all topics.
