    ! Couldn't post much as Verizon

     'broadband' was pathetically slow on Site 104

     on our 2 week trip.

These guys walked the whole loop around the ponds 'scarying' kids with their neat glowstick costumes. A 3rd guy handed out glow sticks to all the kids! Nice!

Yup little rain

    ... the big storm day and one other. I dont' remember much rain at all, all season. Maybe one or two full rain days and thats about it! We've camped a ton this year so far

     in the ADK and not really any rain it seems. Last 2 years were great two! Think is was 2005 and 2006 that I had a lot of rainy photos.

We have so many starry nights over the last 3 years we where in the Adirondacks (Lake Placid and Fish Creek) that I was like "ho hum... another starry night... oh there is that bright moon again!"

Speaking of that, campers should look for the full moon on August 1st above the eastern shore of Square Pond just as sunset approaches (about 8:15pm). By August 6th you'll have to wait until 10:30pm to see it. We might barely be able to see it (we arrive Aug 6th) from the end of our dock

     on Site 204

I have this fear that the is being held for our week at FC in August. All the good weather has been used up! Which reminds me, we have to get some new tarps...

Dave.....I LOVE the night pics as usual. REALLY makes me want to get a good camera and get back into photography again....or dust off my old one and jump back from the digital age to my old Minolta 35mm SLR. The little pocket cameras are great for quick convenient family photos.....But they cant take night shots like that
