The Mysterious Missing Campsites

DEC advertises that FCP has 355 sites, yet I only count 352. Where

     are those 3 mystery sites? Anyone know?

There are 2 abandoned sites around the amphitheatre that I know of that were offer for overnight stays for those providing entertainment at the amphitheatre. Maybe they are still used... not sure.

Any ideas on the 3 missing sites?

There's an area on the end of the peninsula near Site 65

     that looks like it may have once been another site. Now it appears to be water access for the interior sites there.

Ah.. could be. There is also another right of way area near Site 73

     or so. Looks a bit more suited to boats while the one you mentioned is great for canoe

I think there are more at the end by the day use area. If memory serves, there are 3 or 4 of the W sites, or used to be.

I guess we'll have to make a point to go look when

     we're up there.

Yes it appears the 4-6 fireplaces that can be since along the shore where

     the new beach picnic area is were probably the original sites.. maybe #1 and up, however since these are no longer accessible by road, I figured these can't be included in the 355 sites. Maybe Dale knows.
