Campsite Guide Updates for April

Postby CampADK on Fri Apr 24, 2009 12:27 pm

Switching about on tasks, I've finally added a bunch more photos of the campsites I was missing, A's and C's mainly.

I'm wondering

though if I am missing water spigots in C section. Does anyone know if there is a spigot somewhere

between C8 and C16. or is Site 36

the close source for water.

C17 and C1 - C7 seem to not have a spigot either.. you have to walk down to Site 27

to fill up your jug.

Let me know if you have this valuable info

I'm hoping to be up before the crowds in May sometime, to do a 'photo blitz' up in Rollins for the RP Camp Guide. Lets see... 287 sites, average of 8 photos per site... thats 2,300 photos... uuugh.
I'll be much more efficient now however since I have developed my technique doing Fish Creek...

. We have had no problem on a campsite, but go down the road a bit and yikes! They are all over you.

We have the TearUp event around June 12th each year. Last year the :blackfly: were bad for some, but didn't stop any of us from enjoying the outdoors. A few years ago it was the houseflys that were the big problem.

Oh well.. this is the Adirondacks...
