Nice! A 9 1/2 hour treck shows true dedication! That is the
far thest I have heard anyone driving to camp at FCP.
Thanks for helping spread the word. We have met so many great people at FCP that we thought it would be great to have
somewhere to meet as well
when the camper is parked back home.
As far as our history. Back in 2003 we had a camping trip scheduled to some park here in Ontario, but my wife got the flu and so we
cancelled our reservation. A few days later she was feeling better, so we decided to try to
find somewhere else to go. We often visit VT, NH and NY and thought we should check out one of the state parks. I did a bit of surfing on the net and found someones comment about how great Fish Creek was. So we just drove down and were totally blowin away! We had never seen a park with so many prime water sites. We had no reservation and had to move a few times. Our first site as FCP newbies was
Site 298 . Anyways we were hooked! Some whoever posted that comment on the net had a big effect on our camping lives. We have been dealing with are addiction by consulting

however.
Since 2003 we have been to Fish Creek 19 times (total of 84 nights). We have a new 19ft Airstream Bambi on order, so next year we plan to start our camping much earlier, probably in April if we get decent weather. Camping mid May is certainly a hoot!
We hope to be there once or twice more before the
snow flys.
After working so much on the site photos and
campsite guide , and spending ridiculouse number of hours analyzing sites and taking notes on most trips, I think we have figured out the secret list of prime sites. Are these a protected secret? Will anyone share?
Not sure if I should fill in the 'rating' field in the campsite guide for this reason.
But I am willing to share the fact that
Site 136 and 137 are probably the least desireable 'water' sites. But still would be considered excellent sites elsewhere!
Actually I added the Snoopy emoticon after I saw you had registered with your snoopy photo. I had created snoopy for another forum I run.
