Glad you posted here. I had you email on my to do list on our return home later this week. Others on here will likely know the answers

    . We are usually at Fish Creek on the 4th so never had that issue, nor know What

     is open, other than the all important Trading Post

    !

What site are you on this year? Sorry we never did get over for that drink in the wee hours last year. Drop over to Site 98

     when

     you are there.

Hi Dave, we have Site 193

     for 4 nights, would have liked to get it from Sat, but all reserved

    ..I will be coming down with my neighbor....He is anxious, his first time..His wife has passed, and he always wanted to come down with Joanna,jackson and myself..My mom had Site 186

     reserved for 2 weeks, but had to cancel

    ..I would have grabbed it, but only available

     from the 5th and i do not feel like moving around, like that site better..But 193 is not to bad..Going

     to rent some Kayaks

     for a couple of days, and my friend likes to fish.. What are the fishing rules on the water, does he need a permit and where

     would he get one and how much???? Could not find

     out any info...Usually we would just fish down by the boat dock

    ....Anyway looking forward to getting there and relaxing for a couple of days..Long range forecast of course looks terrible...lol..We will drop by for that rum we never had a chance to have...see you all soon...Karen

PS. Weather should look excellent but might change

Grocery stores and gas will be open on the 4th. Post office, banks and library and the like will be closed. Most stores are open at least for the morning. Tourist places will be open to try to catch some extra business. You do need a fishing license but I am not sure where

     you can get one anymore. Hickoks

     used to have them, but the ranger station at check in should be able to tell you where. Enjoy !

thanks for that info, kinda figured that, busy time for stores, so they should stay open...Even Half days..Well i will be heading out early that day, hopefully get there by lunch time and enjoy the day in the water, with that sun that will be shining down on me all week...lol....

Fishing licenses are also available

     at Wal-Mart. if you're coming through Malone, you might want to just stop and grab one. ALSO - it is my belief you can also purchase one at the office of the fish hatchery.
