Here we come!!!

It's been 9 months in the waiting. Saturday we will be at FishCreek. I can smell

     the fire, taste the air and feel all those goodtimes a comming.

We just got back from a week at Rollins Pond. July 16-24. Wonderful weather (except for those nasty thunderstorms

     Sunday night, with strong winds

    ). The rest of the week was dry, sunny

    , warm (hot). Lots of kayaking

     and swimming time.
This year, I decided to stay offline, even at the store. Used the cell phone

     just a very little. Learned that my phone system part of OnStar allows me to "call

     for my local weather forecast". How cool is that ? Since that's the big reason that we want to "connect"... decided to go without. I feel much more rested, and ready to take on the work world (well, since we didn't land any windfalls while we were on vacation). The campground was mostly full.. even sites off the water, on top of the hill. Watch

We just got back from Fish Creek on Saturday. Wow what

     a week We had beautiful weather. On Sunday night when

     the storm was rolling in, our group all started to run to their sites to put everything away. It was a funny thing to watch

     !!! My husband had to go back to work today, he isn't too happy. This was our 17th year going

     to Fish Creek together and we have yet to set up or take down in the rain

    . I have been going for 39 years and remember many trips where

     it rained the whole time. Our family and friends had a great time this year and we are planning going again Columbus weekend!

I did notice the biting flies. The ones that look like house flies were pretty bad, especially after the dog

    . I was glad we had the screenhouse.
